The S-100 Standard

S-100 represents a fundamental shift in how the maritime world navigates and operates, making shipping decisively safer, more efficient, and more environmentally responsible. At its core is a modernized data framework supporting a new generation of dynamic data products, paired with navigational systems designed not just to consume them, but to enable significantly enhanced voyage planning and execution.

The S-100 ecosystem is broad and collaborative, spanning international standards bodies, national hydrographic and data-producing agencies, port and waterway authorities, coast guards, sea- and shore-based operations, system integrators, and data service providers. No single organization makes this happen alone.

At IIC Technologies, we've been fortunate to work alongside stakeholders across this entire landscape for many years, contributing what we can to support the global adoption of S-100.
